- This blog is about Mikayla Leigh Scheetz. She was born April 25th, 2007 with Spina Bifida. She was not expected by the doctors to live after birth but if she did live she would have no quality of life. Well, Mikayla was born as a miracle from God. She beat all the odds that doctors gave her and as you will see from this blog... she defies all the odds every single day!!!

Oh I absolutely love the pigtails! You are so-o-o cute. You are surely a little miracle! Look how strong you are already....sitting up so well. I hope you love that swing. It reminds me when Katie was first put in a swing. Do you know she is 22 and still swinging! Ha! She finds a lot of comfort in that swing and uses that time even now to think through tough situations or just to relax. We bought her a new hammock swing and she really likes that. I just love your mommies' talent in taking such good pictures and am so glad for today's technology so we can keep up with your progress even though we are miles apart. Keep smiling that beautiful smile!
