Just wanted to put some new pictures on here. Hope everyone is doing well. We are all doing great.

Mikayla finally had her first bath tonight! Her cord finally fell off on Friday and we got the ok from the docs at spina bifida clinic today(for her back). She LOVED it! Mikayla is gaining weight at a perfect rate...according to the nutritionist. She weighed 7 lbs, 6oz. and was 18 inches.

Mike had a very nice first Father's Day - he loves just spending time with his baby girl.

We continue to thank you guys for your continued prayers, love, and support.

Everything is going really well. She is growing - even getting chubby rolls on her legs. A week ago at the doctor she had gained over two pounds since birth and the doctor was very pleased. We don't have to go back to her pediatrician until her two month check-up (for shots).

We are getting about 5 hours straight of sleep every night- which Mommy likes. It is unbelievable how alert she is now- very curious about her surroundings. Daddy likes how he can play with her now - instead of just watch her sleep. Just wanted to give a little update. We love you all and appreciate all the continued support, love, and prayers.

We have had a couple of firsts since our last entry. Last Sunday Mikayla made her first trip to church. She did really well. I was really concerned that the loud music and "gun shots" from Memorial Day service would scare her but she slept through most. I have included a picture of Daddy putting her in her car seat to go that morning. Also, on Monday, we met our friends from the Street family at the park in White House for another first. There is pic of her on the blanket - enjoying the fresh air. Mikayla is doing really well. We are so appreciative of everyone's continued support and prayers through our journey. We will still have obstacles to overcome but with friends like you all and God on our side we can overcome anything.

Monday we went to the Spina Bifida Clinic for the first time. We had 6 different appointments. It really was not that bad because each person only stayed in for a few minutes. Everyone had good reports. However... Wednesday we had to go back to Vanderbilt because her back was leaking again. It was not a big deal because we brought it to the doctors attention quickly. It was only stitches that did not dissolve with the rest and had created fluid in her incision. Poor thing - it is always something. The surgeon assured us that everything was fine now. Hopefully, besides her Spina Bifida Clinic appointment she will stay away from Vanderbilt. She has gained some weight... she now weighs 5lbs, 7oz. She is becoming a chunkers, hahahahahah. Thanks to everyone for you continued support, love, and prayers. It means more than I can ever tell you in words.
